Work details
- Assist Head of Division in assigned underwriting management works and product developments;
- Work with Marketing Division on pre-underwriting and quoting according to risk assessment, underwriting authority limit and treaty terms and conditions;
- Within delegated authority, provides approval for risk selection and acceptance, coverage, and price for multi lines business;
- Monitor/ control acceptance of risks to ensure that UNDERWRITING DIVISION guideline and treaties limit continue to be observed;
- Liaise and coordinate with higher authority on various underwriting and referral case in timely, including handling facultative reinsurance outward for the accounts being in charge;
- Conduct Underwriting Division training to Marketing and other Divisions;
- Develop, maintain Underwriting Division statistics and prepare Underwriting Division reports;
- Work with other related Divisions to provide support in product development project to meet targets and timeline;
- Manage and maintain underwriting manual and daily control in respect of assigned classes of businesses;
- Participate in the development and maintenance of business cases, competitive analysis, launch plans, pricing and other product development guidelines;
- Work closely with other underwriting colleagues and internal stakeholders to ensure prudent review and control of product underwriting performance result;
- Prepare adequate product documents for submission/reporting to authority (if any);
Essential Requirements
- Qualification/Certificate: Bachelor Degree;
- Language Skills: English fluency;
- From 5-year experience in general insurance with intensive involvement in miscellaneous underwriting and/or product development;
- Proven ability to work with colleagues and partners to transform business needs into successful products.
Desirable Character:
- Personality: ethical, compliant, collaborative, customer focus, driving results, managing execution, problem-solving.
Preferable requirements:
- Professional certificate/degree in general insurance;
- Experience with e-insurance products.
