Technical Pre-Sales Engineer - Machinery

<Position Objective/Expectation >
- Responsible for the design of automation systems within machines.
- Creatively develop solutions in order to serve clients' requirements and enhance machines' capacity.
- Ensure clear communication with customers to avoid any possible mistakes or miscommunication.
- System project management.

<Job Responsibilities>
- Design and adjust the electric system or CAD drawing within each machine according to the customers’ requirements and conditions.
- Monitor and control suppliers’ production plans and ensure that the project will complete according to the timeline.
- Discuss with the sales team to understand customers’ requirements and design the machines’ functions that would serve the purposes.
- Seek appropriate suppliers to execute the design developed by the sales team.
- Design an automation system with PLC program for each project according to the customers’ requirements and conditions.
- Compare the price from different qualified suppliers, get quotations, and summarize the total cost for a sales team to calculate the price for customers.
- Issue the purchase orders to proceed with the production with suppliers.
- Install machines at the customers’ site and ensure that the machine function properly according to the design.
- Inform clients to prepare testing products for the commissioning run.
- Modify the machine in case it does not work properly after completing the commissioning run.
- Prepare customized machine manuals for any complicated machines for customers.
- Record quotation information in the internal operating system and get approval from the company.
- Report any problems during the installation to a manager or a higher level to develop a solution.
- Do tasks assigned by Company & Department.

<Necessary Skill / Experience >
・Education: Bachelor's Degree, major in Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics, or Technical
・Language: English or Japanese - Business Level
・Experience:
- Have 2 years of experience as a Technical/ Design Engineer
- Have experience in R&D (CAD)/ Solidworks (optional).
- Have experience in line design or mechanical design
・Others:
- Strong business conversation skills & good business manners.
- Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Willing to travel on business trips in domestic & overseas.
- Have good knowledge of sales management, customer relationship building, basic business & import-export, and mechatronics.
- Have proactivity & mobility, management, teamwork spirit, communication, high problem-solving skill, ability to work productively in a high-pressure environment.
