Forklift Design Engineer - Manufacturing

**Design one of the following 3 fields.
1. Design for Electrical parts of forklift truck: Controller (Hardware), Display, Charger, Wire harness, Batteries, Lights or
2. Design and make drawings for Electrical circuit, electronics circuit, electricals parts or
3. Design and development for software of forklift driving and operation control: Controller, Display, Charger.
**Other tasks
• Test and integrate custom PCBs into systems.
• Work cooperates and discusses with parts suppliers/ vendors to make the design.
• Support the engineering team with bench test harnesses and other prototyping tasks.
• Design/test components.
• Create product design documentation – such as CAE (computer-aided engineering), 3-D models (Siemens NX preferred), detail drawings, engineering lists, reports, test plans, and software coding – to support the release of Change Orders describing component design revisions.
• Support/execute development testing to ensure design robustness to requirements.
• Valid electric vehicle safety training certificate or demonstrated experience working with high-voltage battery systems.
• Integrate new controllers, sensors, and electro-mechanical functions into vehicle architectures, serving as the embedded system subject matter expert for the development team.
• Debug and test embedded systems using provided tools.

<Necessary Skill / Experience>
・Education: Bachelor's Degree, major in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Computer engineering, or related field.
・Language: English or Japanese (N3 level) is at conversational level (internal communication with the Engineering Department in Japan)

- Have experience in designing electrical parts, and control systems.

<Preferable Skill / Experience>
・Knowledge of Motor control system or Charge control system
・Knowledge of Mechatronic software development
・Knowledge/skill in drafting practices, CAD (Siemens NX preferred), engineering analysis, and design layouts.
・Basic knowledge/skill in electrical schematic design
・Experience with PCB soldering and rework.
・Strong understanding of physics and engineering fundamentals
・Prefer experience in vehicle-based systems (material handling, construction, agriculture, or automotive)
・Familiarity with data acquisition systems and process/test stand automation, Input/Output structure, analog/digital control signals, PID controllers and tuning
・Understand complex mechanical and electrical product systems and test equipment.
