- Monday - Friday (8:00~17:00)

JOB DUTIES
§ Report to Japanese Director(40s Male) and Asia Legal team located in Thailand
§ There is no other team member. This position will handle everything with support from legal team
§ Job Responsibilities:
- Will handle and manage overall legal and compliance issues in Vietnam (Bac Ninh Head Office 40% and HCM branch 30%, as well as our manufacturing companies in HCM 30%)
- Draft, review and negotiate various business contracts (with suppliers, customers, service vendors, etc.)
- Provide advice and solution on wide range of legal issues (corporate, contract, labor, competition, etc.)
- Research and advice on regulatory matters (business licenses, import regulations, distribution/storage regulations, etc.)
- Support negotiations with government agencies
- Create and implement effective compliance program (company laws, labor laws, sales regulations, fraud prevention, etc.)
- In collaboration with the headquarter or Asia Legal team, conduct internal training for various departments on legal and compliance issues
- Provide legal support to various projects
- Dispute resolution including litigation (IP infringement, labor dispute, and other claims.)
- Draft and review internal company rules and regulations
- Stay abreast of any law or regulatory changes which may affect the business of the company and report the same to the relevant department within the company
- Manage local lawyers in conducting the above tasks.
- Coordinate with legal team in Bangkok and other regions.
- Possibility to handle legal issues in other Asian countries.
- Contracts and basic legal advice should be done in-house. More complicated matters are to be handled with outside counsels and/or Bangkok legal team.
- Business trip to Bac Ninh or HCM once a month
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
§ Desirable Background & Experience:
- Qualification: University degree in Law (Bachelors, Masters, or other).
- Language Skills: English business level
- 5+ years of experience in corporate legal or law firm
- Wide experience in general corporate areas (not too specialized)
- Others (Preferable):
Experience in Japanese or other foreign companies
Experience in manufacture or trading business
Lawyer license in Vietnam
