JOB DUTIES
ROLE PURPOSE
-To ensure dye house has a person clearly responsible for handling of emergencies such as accidents, fire floods etc. while factory is operating
-To ensure all dyeing activity meets CPP targets in terms of quality and productivity through enforcement of SOP
-To ensure discipline is enforced on shift
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety & Housekeeping:
-Working with with Dyehouse Manager, ensure targets for Health & Safety audit are met.
-Ensure all accidents/incidents and near miss are reported in a timely manner.
-Actively look for areas where safety can be improved.
-With Dyehouse Manager set and maintain standards for housekeeping.
Productivity:
-Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed correctly.
-Ensure all working instructions are available and up to date.
-Work with maintenance to identify and correct poorly performing machinery.
-Measure and meet productivity targets of department such as LpMpD, OHK and labour hours/lot.
-Ensure efficient running of Lawer system
-Ensure lead times at loading, dyeing and drying are within departmental targets.
-Produce analysis of productivity on shift along with proposals for improvement.
-Work with relevant teams to reduce fuel and electricity consumption.
Quality:
-Conduct wrong first time analysis following relevant standard operating procedures.
-Ensure colour quality targets are met.
-Work with Quality Assurance to identify opportunities for improvements that will result in lower internal non conformance and fewer customer complaints.
-Ensure stock on SAP of dyestuff/chemical and grey yarn are the same with the actual.
-Prepare reports as requested.
-Identify machinery that does not produce desired Quality and work with Maintenance to rectify.
-Working with Quality Assurance conduct trials on new or modified products.
-Monitor and propose ideas for minimization of waste.
Discipline:
-Monitor and evaluate the performance of subordinates.
-Ensure discipline in terms of behavior and time keeping are enforced.
-Conduct Performance Review yearly with Subordinates.
-Ensure discipline SOP is followed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
-University graduate with mechanical / Industrial engineering background.
-Good management of people, able to get the best out of all the team
-Two years experience in manufacturing environment
-Able to lead the team
-Ability to manage and prioritize own workload.
-Ability to work in a systemized methodical manner.
Desirable:
-Good technical knowledge of dyeing methods, dyestuffs and auxiliary chemicals.
-Ability to communicate in English.
-Ability to present reports in a clear and concise fashion.
