JOB DUTIES:
Report to Vietnamese General Director
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading the development and execution of the Company’s long-term strategy with a view of creating shareholder value.
- Responsible for all day-to-day management decisions and for implementing the Company’s short-term and long-term growth plans.
- Act as a direct liaison between the Board and management of the Company and communicate to the Board on behalf of management.
- Communicate on behalf of the Company to shareholders, employees, Government authorities, other stakeholders and the public.
- To lead, in conjunction with the Board, the development of the Company’s strategy.
- To lead and oversee the implementation of the Company’s short-term and long-term plans in accordance with its strategy.
- To ensure the Company is appropriately organized and staffed and to have the authority to hire and terminate staff as necessary to enable the Company to achieve the approved strategy.
- To lead and oversee the implementation of the Company’s annual budget.
- To ensure that expenditures of the Company are within the authorized annual budget of the Company.
- To oversee the legal activities of the Company, including any agreements, contracts, leases, and other legal documents the Company enters.
- To assess the principal risks of the Company and to ensure that these risks are being monitored and managed.
- To ensure effective internal controls and management information systems are in place.
- To enhance the Company’ organizational processes and procedures.
- To ensure that the Company’s operating practices, reporting practices, policies and procedures abide by international best practices and standards.
- To ensure that the Company has appropriate systems to enable it to conduct its activities both lawfully and ethically.
- To ensure that the Company maintains high standards of corporate citizenship and social responsibility wherever it does business.
- To act as a liaison between management and the Board.
- To communicate effectively with shareholders, employees, Government authorities, other stakeholders and the public.
- To keep abreast of all material undertakings and activities of the Company and all material external factors affecting the Company and to ensure that he/she and the management of the Company are adequately informed.
- To ensure the integrity of all public disclosure by the Company
- In concert with the Chairman, to develop Board agendas.
- To abide by specific internally established control systems and authorities, to lead by personal example and encourage all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with all applicable laws and the Company’s standards and policies, including its environmental, safety and health policies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Desirable Background & Experience:
- Qualification: BA is required; MBA/MA and/or overseas graduate studies is a strong plus
- Language Skills: English business level
- At least 15 years’ experience in an executive level position, such as general manager or vice president.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and manage business systems and processes to support a growing multi-site organization.
- Demonstrated ability to execute the growth initiatives of a multi-size organization.
- Ability to project a strong positive image of the Company through interaction with all constituencies conducting business with the Company, including governmental departments, public schools, the media, etc. is required.
- Executive problem-solving skills and the ability to organize and manage complex functions are required.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Strong management and leadership skills; able to motivate staff at all levels of hierarchy.
- Able to manage and work effectively with various departments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, lead projects, and meet multiple concurrent deadlines; excellent project management skills.
- Excellent oral (public speaking) and written (presentation) communication skills
- Others (Preferable):
+ Deep understanding on the coffee/tea industry
+ Experience in managing an education business is a strong plus; familiarity with school-based operational structures is strongly preferred
