<Job duties>
• Key strengths are in the Lean/5S technical areas, manage day-to-day operations through effective people leadership and problem-solving
• There are senior maintenance staff reporting through to this role, who are each responsible for an area in the Factory
• Across the 5 areas, there are approximately 74 employees in total, who are a mixture of permanent staff and agency casuals
• You will be responsible for servicing and maintaining the manufacturing plant equipment, along with staff management and you will also be responsible for the planning and scheduling of maintenance.
• You will manage operational stakeholder relationships and ensure the team is fully WH&S compliant whilst managing, leading, nurturing, developing and growing the team in order to subsequently increase production output.
• Improve relationships with operational staff, through improvements in key success areas, as well as effective communication and empathy
• Increase output of production lines, by managing and servicing of the lines, with particular emphasis on the completion of preventative maintenance.
• Increase skills and the ability of the team, by guiding and mentoring senior maintenance staff and utilities staff, so they become more proficient and have rewarding day, and enjoy the learning and development
<Necessary Skill / Experience >
- Gender: Male
- Age: 32-50
- Education: College Diploma in Maintenance Management or Mechanical Engineering
- Language: English - Intermediate level
- Experience:
+ At least 5 years experience as a maintenance engineer for equipemnt in Food/ Comestic/ Components
<Others>
• Hands-on approach to Manufacturing/Production based troubleshooting with demonstrated ability to resolve quality related issues.
• The ability to plan organize and control project and maintenance activities to optimize the use of available resources;
• Experience in preparing and complying with R&M budgets;
• Sound knowledge of WH&S regulation
• Commitment to continual improvement
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and general computer literacy
<Preferable skills/experience>
• Excellent understanding of HACCP systems and ISO14001 standards.
• Experience gained from managing maintenance in large manufacturing facilities is ideal.
• Experience in the supervision and maintenance within a fast-moving manufacturing environment;
• Experience working with fryer cooking and boilers would be an advantage;
