A Japan company is in charge of handling quality control of apparels and textile
Position: MERCHANDISER
Salary: Max 700 USD Gross
Job Descriptions
- Communicate daily with MD, HQ, garment factories, and suppliers (fabric and accessory) on outstanding issues.
- Receive and send fabric samples or ACC samples by express services, DHL..
- Make purchase orders for accessory orders (or fabric orders) and place sample orders, bulk orders to suppliers on behalf of HQ, and get the information about delivery schedule from suppliers then inform HQ as well as garment factories.
- Work with suppliers and HQ about the contract, L/C… for the orders.
- Follow up closely to ensure the delivery schedule on time, and inform HQ, garment factories of actual shipment status or problems if any.
- Accompany HQ to visit fabric mills in their buying trips.
Collect all shipping documents to submit to HQ, check payment schedule for suppliers.
- Make monthly report.
Requirements of knowledge and skills
- Proven working experience in fabric or garment merchandising (chasing/following up bulk & sample orders)
- Have experience and knowledge of Fabric Quality Control
- Proficiency in English
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Proficiency in English or equivalent. Ability in Japanese shal be a plus
- Experiences in Textile business (yarn, fabric or garment related business)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing
exemplary customer service
