<Position Objective/Expectation >
- The Country Finance Lead is responsible for the efficient operation of Finance activities within the country, ensuring that all processes and practices comply with country regulations. The role works closely with RHQ Finance by providing country-specific insights for the successful development of regional Finance strategies.
- As a Finance business partner to the local operation, the role works with key stakeholders and managers to support business performance and organizational growth.
<Job Responsibilities>
- Business and financial planning and control:
+ Prepare country consolidated budget and report to RHQ annually and quarterly
+ Monitor and implement the budget control process in the country
+ Monitor overall expenses for the country against the budget and communicate variances to RHQ every month
- Financial accounting and reporting (in compliance with statutory reportorial and tax regulations)
+ Review and deliver financial forecasts for the country to RHQ
+ Review and deliver monthly financial reports and consolidated financial reports to RHQ
+ Oversee daily financial accounting operations within the country and ensure best practice regulatory / legislation measures are followed
+ File tax returns as per the set deadlines
- Regionalisation of corporate services and continuous improvement
+ Deliver Regional Finance strategic initiatives within the country to drive process harmonization and continuous improvements
+ Oversee the implementation of automated financial systems and processes in the country
+ Provide effective communications of accounting policies and processes to all staff
+ Collaborate with other Country Finance teams, share knowledge and understand opportunities to enhance Finance service delivery
- People management and development
+ Coach and manage the performance of direct reports for improved overall business performance to meet reasonable service level
+ Drive the cultural standards for the function within the country, demonstrating values to drive employee engagement and motivation
- Alignment between RHQ Finance and country
+ Implement RHQ Finance strategy within the country
+ Provide RHQ Finance with country insights and local regulatory information
+ Provide updates to country management on all financial matters
+ Cascade communications on all strategic functional initiatives from the region to the country
- Admin, Ad-hoc projects
+ Support process improvement to enhance administrative and operation
+ Participate and support any ad-hoc projects
<Necessary Skill / Experience >
・Education: Bachelor's Degree, major in Accountancy, Finance
・Language: English - Business Level
・Experience:
- At least 5 years of working experience as a Finance Manager in trading businesses for machinery
- Experience in supporting and/or managing the coordination and execution of Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Planning, monthly and quarterly forecasting
- Have business acumen mindset, have knowledge about business models, current economic situation, and consultancy ability to HQ to support making appropriate financial decisions.
・Skills:
- In-depth understanding of the financial planning and analysis process
- Advanced and up-to-date understanding of market terminology and information (definitions, size, share, growth) with input from key external drivers
- Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably with experience in SAP and network environment
- Meticulous and attention to detail
- Confidence in dealing with a range of stakeholders
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize a demanding workload
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
