JOB DUTIES
Report to Manager / HCMC Branch Chief Accountant
Assigned to Finance and Planning/ Accounting Division
Main Tasks:
-Implement all functions and performance of Account Section
Booking receipt & refund payments
-Booking receipts timely and accurately in the system
-Booking refund payments
-Transfer the refund payment & intermediary payments to Hanoi office for validating in P400 and remittance
VAT declaration & other tax issues:
-Check invoice files and VAT out declaration sheets for VAT monthly reconciliation
-Do VAT yearly reconciliation
-Work with tax officials for any issues of tax as assigned by HCM Chief Accountant
HCM Cash & Bank reconciliation:
-Check and review cash reconciliation
-Review bank reconciliation
-Follow up and clear pending receipts/payments in bank
Manage intermediary accounts (coinsurance/broker/agent)
-Prepare statement of accounts, with other parties (coinsurer/broker/agent) for HCM Branch
-Making confirmation with coinsurer on the month end balance and collecting/paying premium from/to coinsurer for accounts belonging to HCM Branch
-Basing on the confirmation with other parties, confirm of invoices issued or receipt
-Prepare payment/receipt according to the confirmation to/from coinsurer/broker/agent & book payment/receipt accordingly in system
-Transfer payment document to Hanoi office to final checking and making remittance
-Make sure the payments to those parties are valid, consistent, compliance with government and company rules and regulation
Control trade debtor and trade receivable:
-Reconciliation of trade debtor and trade receivable with corresponding accounts in trial balance of HCM office
Ensure the smooth operation of HCM accounting work:
-Supervising and training subordinate works in HCM Branch
-Back up for daily works of subordinate
-Working with tax authorities to ensure the tax compliances are met
-Building team spirit for all subordinators
-Good cooperation with other departments in dealing accounting related issues or providing information
Assist HCM Branch Chief Accountant in preparing accounting procedure and accounting guidance
-Support in preparing and maintaining accounting procedure, guidance for daily activities of accounting staff and reporting
-Support in providing guidance for other departments about accounting related matters
Maintain good filing system in HCM Branch to assure accounting document being kept safely
Other works assigned by HCM Branch Chief Accountant
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must:
-Gender: Any
-Age: Any
-Qualification: University Graduation in Finance or Accounting, Professional Account qualification
-Language Skills: English fluency
-At least 3 years’ experience in Accounting
-Thorough and sound understanding of accounting practices, preferably insurance related
-Understanding regulatory and account environment
-Familiar with international financial reporting standard
-Deeply understand Vietnamese Accounting System, Ministry of Finance regulation and Tax regulation
